What Past Participants Have Said about DATIC Workshops
Below are some of the unsolicited testimonials that we have received from past participants. We also evaluate each of our workshops and we expect and usually find the most of the participants give the highest possible rating to the workshop. Based on these evaluations we make changes to improve the workshop.
Dyadic Data Analysis
"I just finished doing a guest lecture in our graduate research methods/stats class on dyadic data analysis and so, of course, I thought of you and the marvelous DATIC workshops. Last summer's dyadic workshop continues to be incredibly helpful (my students are using MLM, SEM, and the SRM to study various couples/family questions and I'm working on a few papers using it myself)."
Hierarchical Linear Modeling
"Just wanted to write a brief note to thank you, Ann O'Connell and Betsy
McCoach for putting on an outstanding workshop on multilevel modeling. In
many ways it was the best workshop of it's kind I have ever attended. I
thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the workshop. The way it was organized
was very conducive to learning. The handouts were terrific both in terms of
details and breadth of content. The daily repetition in using HLM was very
effective. At first it seemed a bit cumbersome to use, but after day three I
felt very at ease in navigating through the program and it options. Both Ann
and Betsy were superb in presenting the material and very gracious of their
time in addressing questions and helping all of us with our own data set-up
problems. My hat's off to you and your team of talented instructors. I would
take another workshop from your group in a second because I know I would
learn a lot. That's a terrific feeling to have and your group deserves the
credit for instilling it in us. Bravo, well done, and by all means keep up
the good work."
Structural Equation Modeling
"I just wanted to tell you how much I benefited from the SEM workshop. I was feeling pretty relaxed and "in the know" the first two days. My main feeling then was, 'Whew! At least I'm not totally lost.' Then, we took off. Thursday and Friday were particularly stretching. You have opened up SEM for me to think about its application in so many new ways. It's very exciting my own research and for what we will plan to teach our students."
