The DATIC Philosophy:Instruction consists of a week-long workshop consisting of lecture, computer workshops, and individualized consultations. We have provide practical instruction to assist researchers in the analysis of their data. While providing information about the underlying theory, we provide real-data examaples and show researchers how software can be used in their research. We keep the number of participants small and have two instructors and a teaching assistant to allow for participation and individual consultation. Participants are encouraged to bring their own data and are encouraged to contact the staff beforehand so that the data are in a format appropriate for the specialized software.
Enquiries:
Send an
e-mail to the DATIC staff.
Schedule: 9AM until 4:30PM each day, except Friday when the workshop ends
at noon with a lunch. There is an optional opening reception on Sunday at 6:00PM before the workshop starts.
Location:
University of Connecticut, Storrs,
Connecticut USA (Nearest Airport: Hartford/Springfield
Bradley International Airport)
DATIC provides Sunday pickup (from 11AM to 9PM) and Friday afternoon dropoff at no charge. Some participants prefer to rent a car. In the past, some participants had wished that they had a car to give them more options for restaurants and other activities. That said, there are several restaurants in walking distance from on-campus housing.
